Super easy homemade mouthwash, yet another game changer. I will never go back to store bought brands; there are so many more benefits in making your own with essential oils. Store bought mouthwash can be toxic for you when ingested (toxicity study found HERE) and its ingredients are mostly just fillers and sweeteners. Try this recipe for the easiest and best working mouthwash out there. Here are the reasons why I chose some of the ingredients and their benefits.
Peppermint essential oil: Is highly antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory (for gums). It is an appetite suppressant and it tastes great.
Clove essential oil: Used in the dental industry for years, it is highly anti-inflammatory (for gums) and antimicrobial. It eliminates bad breath and fights cavities and gargling with it relieves sore throats.
Spearmint essential oil: Is highly antibacterial, is an antiseptic and tastes great.
Hydrogen peroxide: Whitens teeth and is antibacterial.
Calcium carbonate: Remineralizes and whitens teeth.
